Jennifer Lopez is almost ready to give birth and her father, David Lopez, has confirmed through an interview to Escandalo TV that, yes indeed, his daughter and hubby Marc Anthony are expecting twins. Telling the Spanish language TV show that twins will mean double the excitement, Lopez exclaims how great of a mother his 38-year old daughter will be. "I'm very proud. Jennifer has yearned to be a mother for many years." And due to the Puerto Rican culture, Lopez says that he has already bought gifts for his grandchildren, azabache (black stone) bracelets to protect them from the evil eye. 
After weeks of speculation, Jennifer Lopez finally publicly confirmed her pregnancy Wednesday night during a Miami stop on her El Cantante tour. "Marc and I are expecting a baby!" the glowing singer announced to the audience. Anthony, also onstage, shrugged then leaned over and kissed her belly. "I did not expect her to say anything," he told the crowd. Lopez thanked the audience for the applause and said, "We are happy, too." She then turned sideways to reveal her profile and show off her very obvious baby bump. "This is a special time in our lives," she she said. "And we waited until the last show to tell you."
Designer Roberto Cavalli has officially confirmed what has been rumored for months: yes, Jennifer Lopez is pregnant. (And as the man charged with designing outfits for her changing body, he should know.) Asked what types of clothing he designs for his celebrity clients, Cavalli said on Tuesday, "Well, Jennifer Lopez, at this moment, she requests something very special because she is waiting for the baby. It is so complicated because every week she is getting bigger." Cavalli designed multiple loose-fitting and flowing outfits for the 38-year-old singer, who is on tour with husband Marc Anthony. "The thing about Jennifer Lopez, she is a singer, she is a dancer," the designer said. "Most of the time when I prepare something for the tour, the performer, they want something very soft so they can dance and so they can move free." A rep for Lopez has not commented.
On the same day that Jennifer Lopez managed to avoid the big pregnancy question from Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, the singer faced another tough interviewer - David Letterman. But the host, who relentlessly peppered Paris Hilton with questions about her jail stay recently, kept mum when it came to asking Lopez about a possible visit from the stork. Though clearly showing respect for Lopez and husband Marc Anthony's privacy, Letterman nevertheless asked the singer if she would be as tough a parent as her own mom if she ever started a family.
Jennifer Lopez and Diane Sawyer danced around the question on everyone's lips - is the singer pregnant? - on this morning's Good Morning America. Speaking amid a crowd of people outside the ABC studio in Times Square, where Lopez performed a live concert to promote her new CD Brave, a pained-looking Sawyer said, "All right, all right. I know what everybody's asking, and I know you have so little privacy in your life...so, I'm just going to say, 'How are you?'" Lopez replied, "I'm very well, thank you. This is really, really a great, happy time in my life... Everything's great." She credited her happiness to her new album and her current concert tour with husband Marc Anthony - for which Lopez is dressing in modest, loose-fitting costumes by Robert Cavalli.
Jennifer Lopez will reportedly share her pregnancy news publicly in her hometown. Bronx native Lopez, 38, plans to "announce that she and Marc Anthony are expecting their first child on Saturday night at her Madison Square Garden concert," said an insider. A spy at her concert in Connecticut Wednesday night said, "A fan blew the side of her top all the way up for a moment, and a definitive baby bump was there. She was very quick to push down her top. Then she talked about how this year is full of firsts for her...and every so often her dress would fly up and you would see her belly."
Jennifer Lopez is nearly $545,000 richer thanks to a lawsuit against her first husband, Ojani Noa. Lopez filed suit against Noa, claiming his plans to write a tell-all book were in violation of a previous lawsuit settlement preventing him from revealing private information about their relationship. A court-ordered arbitrator decided on the damages in April, which include $200,000 plus legal fees, and also awarded a permanent injunction against Noa barring him from "criticizing, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging or causing disparagement" to Lopez. Noa was also directed to give his ex-wife copies of all materials related to the book. The arbitration decision became public earlier this week when Lopez's lawyer filed papers asking a judge to confirm the award. A hearing is scheduled for September 5. The unpublished, ghostwritten book reportedly alleges that Lopez had several affairs while married to Noa, including one with her present husband Marc Anthony.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are considering a joint tour, hot on the heels of their album and film collaborations. "Jennifer has never toured," Anthony recently told Billboard mag. "I've toured all my life. This is where I can step in and say, 'Oh, my God, this could be fun' and introduce her to that world. It is something she's always wanted to do, but she's never had the time. And I was offered many more films I never took advantage of because I was always on tour. So yes, we're seriously talking about going out this year [and] putting together an amazing show with just her and myself." When asked about how he and Lopez collaborate, Anthony said, "A big part of mine and Jennifer's connection is the understanding that we have a passion for what we do. So, it's just a natural progression to be involved. Me, I cannot sit down and have a conversation about image. That's her strong suit. She picks me up where I'm weak and I elevate her where she's weak. That's where the true partnership comes in." In another interview with Latina magazine, Anthony discussed the "highly charged scenes" he and Lopez shot for their movie El Cantante. "All my actor friends warned us, saying, 'Those abusive husband-and-wife scenes are gonna be difficult.' It almost scared me into quitting," he says. "With those scenes, we'd end up exhausted. But driving home, we'd just look at each other and say, 'We are so normal.'"
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are suing a British tabloid over a report that they were involved in a heroin scandal. The article, published last month in the British and Irish editions of the National Enquirer, claimed Lopez and Anthony were "caught up in a heroin scandal," and was accompanied by a photo of Anthony standing with photographer Michael Star, who is facing heroin and child pornography charges in the U.S. The couple is demanding "a six figure settlement," an apology and a retraction, according to press reports.
Marc Anthony may have been paying too much attention to wife Jennifer Lopez - and not enough to his taxes. The Latin crooner has agreed to pay nearly $2.5 million in back taxes after failing to file returns on nearly $15.5 million in income over a five-year period. Anthony was not personally named as having committed tax fraud, but three of his companies are involved. Two of the singer's managers have pleaded guilty to various offenses, but Anthony avoided prosecution as he was apparently unaware that his taxes were not paid between 2000 and 2004. Lopez was not involved in the investigation and she and Anthony do not file their taxes together.
