Teri Polo welcomes daughter

Teri Polo and her musician boyfriend Jamie Wollam welcomed a baby girl Thursday. Daughter Bayley was born at 3:02 p.m. in Los Angeles and weighed 7 lbs., a rep for the actress says. This was the first child for Polo, 38, and Wollam together. They also each have a son from previous marriages: Polo has Griffin, 5, and Wollam has Carter, 9. Polo, best known for playing Ben Stiller's fiancée in Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, announced her pregnancy last fall, saying: "It's my favorite role – being a mom." Polo and Wollam have been together since 2004 after they met on the set of a music video for his former band, Avion.

Lily Allen announces pregnancy

British singer Lily Allen is pregnant with her first child, her rep confirms. The 22-year-old "Smile" singer has been dating the Chemical Brothers' Ed Simons, 37, since September. "As the pregnancy is at a very, very early stage, the couple ask that you respect their privacy," her rep said in a statement. "The couple will be making no further comment but they are obviously both thrilled by the news." Allen, whose 2006 debut album, Alright, Still, sold nearly 2 million copies, recently talked about her desire to step out of the limelight and start a family. "Maybe I could retire at 25. I'm only going to do one more album, she told Britain's Sunday Times in November. "It's a great job, but it doesn't leave time for what's important. Like having a family," she added. "I'd like to live in the country and have a walled garden, and chickens and pigs." Despite the pregnancy news – first reported by Britain's The Sun – Allen's rep said, "Lily's new album will be released as planned next year."

Britney Spears found out about her 16-year-old sister's pregnancy the same time everybody else did, a family friend says. "This is going to kill her," the friend says. "In the end, she'll be supportive, but this is a big shock." Another source says there's no rift between them, but that Jamie Lynn's advisors have tried to keep her apart from her 26-year-old sister. "Britney doesn't have to listen to anyone now but her sister still does so who knows what people are telling her," says the source. "She has her career now too. Things have been put on hold for Lynne Spears's book about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn, the publisher confirms. "The book is delayed indefinitely. It's delayed, not cancelled," says a spokeswoman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles. It had been scheduled for a spring 2008 release and was put on hold last week, says the rep. On Tuesday, news hit that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn is pregnant with her boyfriend's child. Publishers' Weekly described the book as "Lynne Spears's personal story of raising high-profile children while coming from a low-profile Louisiana community." The publisher declined to comment on whether the focus of the book would change in light of the pregnancy announcement. "We are standing behind Lynn at this time and understand that she needs time with her family – we support that," says the spokeswoman.

Britney's teenage sister is pregnant

Britney Spears's 16-year-old sister Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, Nickelodeon confirmed Tuesday. "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being," says the network, which carries her series Zoey 101. A rep for Spears was not immediately available for comment. The network statement follows internet reports that Spears's mother had confirmed the pregnancy to OK! magazine. Spears, a high school junior who is 10 years younger than Britney, had until now escaped much of the attention about her personal life that has surrounded her sister. Jamie Lynn stars as a schoolgirl at the fictitious Pacific Coast Academy in Zoey 101, finishing its third season next month as one of Nickelodeon's highest-rated shows. She recently told the Associated Press that didn't have a serious boyfriend. "I kind of just keep my options open," she said. "I have a bunch of friends that I always hang out with, a bunch of guy friends." She added that her priority was to focus on her real-life schoolwork before considering any additional TV series or film roles. "I'm going to try to graduate before I do anything else," she told AP.

Jessica Alba is pregnant with boyfriend Cash Warren's child, her rep confirms. "I can confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer," says rep Brad Cafarelli. Alba, 26, has dated Warren, 28, since the fall of 2004 after they met on the set of The Fantastic Four, on which Warren was a director's assistant. The couple have been seen being affectionate together in Los Angeles in recent days, shopping for mattresses last Saturday and attending a Lakers game, where they were spotted kissing Sunday. Mom-to-be Christina Aguilera is making like Demi and Britney - displayed her bare belly on the cover of the January issue of Marie Claire. Aguilera reveals in the interview that pregnancy wasn't really on her mind when she found out she and husband Jordan Bratman were expecting their first child. "We were planning on starting to try after the tour. And so, I had gone off the pill to prepare my body, because I didn't know how much time it would take," Aguilera says. "You've heard it takes some time - except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here. I'm like, oh, my God, can you believe it just happened?" Of continuing her grueling tour despite the pregnancy, Aguilera tells the mag, "I was paranoid. There are so many things that could go wrong - somebody could slip, somebody could fall, I could fall. There was no way in hell I was going to jeopardize my baby for my show." Her solution was to wear a carefully hidden heart monitor. When asked if she was upset when Paris Hilton publicly introduced her as "the most beautiful pregnant woman in the world" before she'd announced the news herself, the popstar says, "Because I hadn't said anything, people thought I was trying to keep this big, bad secret, and that's not the case at all. I just wasn't commenting. I'm not being like, 'Hey, everybody, I'm pregnant!' I'm not that girl."

Nicole opens up about pregnancy

With the birth of her first child just two months away, Nicole Richie says her pregnancy has helped her bond with her biological mother - and brought her closer to dad Lionel Richie. "When I found out that I was pregnant," she tells Access Hollywood, "there was just something inside of me that felt a responsibility to mend any issues that I've had with my parents in the past, because, listen, I've put them through a lot." Richie, 25, adds that she has spent time bonding with boyfriend Joel Madden's mother, and her dad, too. "[The baby] is all he talks about, actually," Richie jokes, adding that he doesn't want the baby to call him"grandpa." Though many of the gifts at Richie's baby shower indicated that Richie and Madden are expecting a boy, she says she and Joel are waiting to find out the sex of the baby. "I like to know everything," she says. "If he wasn't at every doctor's appointment, I probably would have found out by now just behind his back and not told him." In her interview, which airs in two parts on Tuesday and Wednesday, Richie says she and Madden are holding off on planning their wedding. "I got to hold something for when I get older," she says. "I can't have everything happen in one year."

Zac Hanson, the youngest of the Hanson trio, and his wife Katie are expecting their first child in May. "I am utterly thrilled at the thought of becoming a father," says Zac, 22. Sex and the City star Chris Noth is about to be a baby daddy. Noth's live-in girlfriend, actress Tara Wilson, is "about five months along," according to sources. A rep for Noth has not commented, and his partner in the Plumm, Noel Ashman, would only say, "Chris is very happy."

Christina Milian confirmed to Us mag that her pal Christina Aguilera is having a boy. "Her son is going to be pretty lucky because his mom...she's just awesome!" Milian said at the Seventeen Jewelry launch at Ketchup in LA on Thursday. "She is going to be a cool mom." Milian attended Aguilera's blue-themed baby shower at the singer's Beverly Hills home on November 10. "I had a lot of fun!" she said. "I got her a bunch of baby stuff: a whole little bathrobe and everything." Aguilera is about seven months pregnant.

After weeks of speculation, Jennifer Lopez finally publicly confirmed her pregnancy Wednesday night during a Miami stop on her El Cantante tour. "Marc and I are expecting a baby!" the glowing singer announced to the audience. Anthony, also onstage, shrugged then leaned over and kissed her belly. "I did not expect her to say anything," he told the crowd. Lopez thanked the audience for the applause and said, "We are happy, too." Actress Milla Jovovich gave birth to a baby girl Saturday morning at LA's Cedars Sinai Medical Center. It is the first child for the Russia-born Jovovich, 31, and her fiance, director Paul Anderson. The baby girl's name is Ever, according to a source, who added, "Everything went really smooth." The former model and Jovovich-Hawk clothing designer has been dating Anderson since he directed her in 2002's Resident Evil.

Christina Aguilera has now formally confirmed the obvious: she's pregnant. Or, as the Grammy winner tells it, she will "enter into mommyhood" next year. In an interview with Glamour magazine, Aguilera says she intends to be a working mom who'll "balance" caring for her child and tending to her career. "I want to get it right," she said. Describing the reaction of her husband Jordan Bratman, Aguilera said, "He's thrilled! He's just great," adding that she finds Bratman "so supportive and amazing through everything. He came with me on the last leg of the tour and he was my support system... I gush. I'm a lucky girl." This will be the first child for the couple, who married on November 19, 2005. "The thing about Jennifer Lopez, she is a singer, she is a dancer," the designer said. Actress Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon and her husband have welcomed twin boys, her rep confirmed. Jax Joseph Nilon was born at 8:30 pm October 18 and weighed 4 lbs, 7 oz., and Jaid Thomas Nilon was born at 8:31 p.m. and weighed 4 lbs., 9 oz. "We're so in love with them," Beauvais-Nilon says. "The boys are just gorgeous." The twins, who were born in LA,, join Oliver, the actress's 15-year-old son from a previous marriage. Friends such as Angie Harmon and Virginia Madsen have already showered the boys with gifts.
