Katie's Final Bow

Sunday evening will mark Katie Holmes's final performance in the Broadway play All My Sons after a run of four months. Can you believe she has been gracing NYC for that long already! And she NEVER once missed a performance! It will be sad to see her go, especially without our daily dose of cutie Suri. For more on NYC's youngest celebrity, check out New York's Daily News for its "Suri and the City" slideshow. So adorable! Come back soon TomKat!

Quote of the Day

"She's going to be onstage, she's doing All My Sons on Broadway. I've got some things planned tonight, I've been kind of surprising her throughout the week with things . . . I like romance, so you've got to think about these things, you've got to know the right thing and pay attention throughout the year. Know your lady — the flowers, what kind she likes." - Tom Cruise on wife Katie Holmes's 30th bday!

Suri is now in town! The mother-daughter duo have been spotted around NYC at playgrounds and attending shows like "The Little Mermaid."

And p.s., what do y'all think of Katie's new do! I love it so much, I've been slightly considering chopping off my own locks!

Katie To Make Her Broadway Debut

What will Katie Holmes be doing this fall?

Funny you should ask.

Six nights a week, she'll be performing onstage in Arthur Miller's All My Sons alongside Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson and John Lithgow. This is her first play since high school.

Looks like TomKat will be calling NYC home come fall.

A Night At The Met

So, last night, major happenings in NYC! The Costume Institute Gala brought out many an A-lister to The Met and I just happened to be eyeing the red carpet as the stars were arriving. And by happened to be there, I mean I walked by on my way home and was across the street, stuck behind paparazzi and other ecstatic, not to mention screaming and waving (yes I waved) fans like myself. Although I didn't get a chance to see my love George Clooney (so upset!), I did show up just in time to catch a glimpse of actual superheroes welcoming guests at the bottom of The Met stairs, Mr. Big, Jason Lewis (hard to believe, but even more good-looking in person) the Beckhams, Tom and Katie, J.Lo, MKO (oh sorry, aka my abbreviation for Mary-Kate Olsen, who I'm sure just loved hearing my shout out to her and her sister), Mr. Lagerfeld himself, Blake Lively (so excited to see Serena considering I was missing Monday's ep. of Gossip Girl to star gaze), Valentino, Bonjovi, Eva Longoria and the list goes on.

Nicest/biggest smiles/longest waves to the crowd - J.Lo, Valentino and Tom Cruise (maybe it was just an act considering all of his bad publicity lately, but he did look genuinely nice)

Celeb who I wish I could have seen turn around - David Beckham (A bus decided to block my view, just as his gorgeousness turned toward the crowd)

Biggest undercover entrance - Karl Lagerfeld

Most surprising duo - Vogue's Andre Leon Talley, arriving toward the end, with Venus Williams at his side.

Best dressed - A tie between Katie Holmes and Eva Longoria

The only good picture I was able to capture - J.Lo and Marc Anthony

My list of who I saw...yes, I know I'm a nerd, but a celeb-obsessed nerd, so much cooler!

From Scarlett's engagment surprise and Katie's blue heels, to Gisele's arm candy and Victoria's choice of dress, here are a few other snapshots of the celebs at the Superheroes: Fiction and Fantasy gala hosted by Giorgio Armani, George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Anna Wintour.

Scarlett Johansson dazzled her diamond as news broke of her engagement to Ryan Reynolds yesterday.

George and Julia, the ravishing co-hosts (Also happy birthday George today!)

Tom Brady and his leading lady Gisele

Tom's kids call Katie "Mom"

Katie Holmes gushes that husband Tom Cruise is a "great father and husband" and says his two children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman are "incredible, really smart and kind." "They call me 'Mom'," Holmes says in this week's Parade Magazine of Cruise's first two children, Isabella, who turns 15 this month, and Connor, 12. (Ouch - their mom Nicole Kidman recently revealed that they don't even call her mom.) The 29-year-old actress says she's looking forward to spending the holidays cooking and skiing in Telluride, Colo., with Cruise, their baby daughter Suri, and both sides of the big family. "Last year was Suri's first Christmas. It was so spectacular to share the holidays with her," she says. "It really meant the world to me. To be able to create a tradition for your children is one of the best gifts you can have." Her one-year marriage to Cruise, she says, is another gift. "Oh, we have so much fun," she says. "Tom has introduced me to so many new experiences. I have done things I never thought I would do, like climbing mountains and flying in the P-51. That's what is so inspiring about being with him – constant thrills and joy." After taking a two-year hiatus from her acting career, Holmes stars in the upcoming film Mad Money with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah. She says the three of them had a blast: "We got our morning female talk in the trailer every day." She tells Parade that Tom was very excited for her to do the movie, and that he loved hearing all the stories. He has a great understanding of "the female bond" because he has three sisters, she says. "He was raised by a single mother and has two daughters," she explains.

Katie opens up

Katie Holmes opens up about her one-year marriage to Tom Cruise in January's InStyle mag, revealing his biggest turn-on. "Tom likes me in a suit and a mini every now and then. I like it when he likes it. It makes me blush," she told the mag. "He'll say, 'You look good. I hope security's going with you.' Now that gives me attitude." Holmes, 28, said they would "love to" have more kids, but " I'm in no particular rush." When Suri was born in 2006, Cruise, 43, was "by my side the whole time," Holmes said. "I couldn't have asked for a more supportive human being. He had the room ready, candles everywhere, pictures in frames. It was very homey and beautiful." How is their daughter doing at 20 months? "Suri is talking up a storm, running around, so aware," Holmes says. "She loves coloring and creating. She's a great mimic and dancer. She came to the photo shoot and was all into the shoes." Holmes also revealed that she fell in love with Cruise "in an instant." "I still get like that, 'Whew.' When you fall in love, it's as though time stops," she said. "It's all-encompassing. "I try every day to let him know how much I love him," she added. "It gets better and better. It has made my life... I want to go to sleep knowing I made my family happy, I made myself happy, and I worked hard in all aspects of life," she says. "It's really pretty simple."

Tom & Katie love the Spice Girls

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have found one way to spice up their marriage – turning out for a second Spice Girls show, this one Sunday night in Las Vegas. "They can't seem to get enough of our girls!" the band wrote on their website on Monday. Last Thursday, Tomkat, who are friends with Posh Spice (Victoria Beckham), watched the reunited British divas' concert at L.A.'s Staples Center. They were spotted in a private box with daughter Suri, Victoria's husband David Beckham, and the Beckhams' sons. Three nights later, the Cruises were at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Hotel, where David Beckham joined them in their VIP skybox. After the show, the two couples feasted on stone crab and Kobe beef at SW Steakhouse at the Wynn Hotel. "They were having an absolute blast," a witness reports.

Katie's new look

Katie Holmes showed off a new bob while accompanying her husband Tom Cruise at the 59th annual Bambi Awards in Dusseldorf, Germany, Thursday. TomKat check out Spice Girls

The Spice Girls had some surprise visitors at rehearsals in LA recently when Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes along with baby Suri stopped by to wish them luck for the forthcoming tour. Cruise and Holmes enjoyed an impromptu audience with the girls and were treated to an exclusive performance, while Suri danced along to the music. "David and I are great friends with Tom and Katie," Victoria Beckham said afterwards. "It was lovely of them to come down to rehearsals, a really nice surprise. Katie has told me before that she used to be a big Spice fan so it was great for her to meet the girls." The Spice Girls reunion tour kicks of in Vancouver on December 2.

Suri's fancy tea party

The tradition for runners the day before a big race is to have a pasta dinner. But last Saturday, marathoner Katie Holmes was focused on throwing a tea party for her 18-month-old daughter Suri. Holmes and husband Tom Cruise held the party inside the Carlyle Hotel's Bemelman's Bar, which is decorated with artwork from the Madeline series of children's books. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., about 10 kids and 15 adults enjoyed mini burgers, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, french fries, cookies, and strawberries, and danced to kids' songs played on the piano. "Suri and her friends had a Madeline tea," an observer said, and she was "running around and dancing and playing with friends."

Katie Holmes runs NYC marathon

While fans along the 26.2 miles of the New York City Marathon path found it hard to spot her, one keen observer on the sidelines knew exactly what runner he was kissing on Sunday morning: Katie Holmes. Wearing a dark FDNY baseball cap and a purple tank, she got a quick wet one from husband Tom Cruise as she entered the final stretch to the finish line in Central Park. Cruise and the couple's daughter Suri, as well as his mother and Holmes's parents, were all at the finish line to greet the runner, who seemed anything but exhausted after the long run. Holmes finished the race with a time of 5:29:58. Before her arrival at the finish line, Cruise said he finds his wife "very inspired. She trained for three months." Another well-known runner in Sunday's race was Lance Armstrong, who came in at 2:46:42.

Katie "strong, gracious," says Tom

With an 18-month-old daughter, a young marriage, and responsibility for a major movie studio, Tom Cruise isn't getting his beauty sleep. "Just like everybody else, you just work it out," Cruise tells Entertainment Tonight about his hectic schedule in an interview airing Thursday, according to the Associated Press. "We've gotten pretty good at organizing everything. I don't sleep much anyway." Cruise, 45, marks two one-year anniversaries this month: his marriage to Katie Holmes, and the deal that put him and producing partner Paula Wagner in charge of United Artists studios. Family life with Holmes, 28, and daughter Suri is "all very good, all very lovely," he says. "I have a lot of respect for [Katie] as an artist, as a woman. She's a very strong, gracious woman. She's very funny, a great comedian." The UA job, on the other hand, has him feeling like a student again. It's "kind of like film school," he says, "like a dorm with all hands on deck. We're all very supportive and very honest." Cruise admits he'd eventually like to try his hand at directing. "I will one day," he says. "I've always wanted to. I've been offered things to direct but have to find the right piece." As for his current sleep deprivation, Cruise looks on the bright side. At least it's not due to anxiety, as it was in his younger days. He recalls, "I remember lying in bed at 18 going, 'Man, I just really hope I don't get fired.'"

Stars show up for Posh and Becks

Victoria and David Beckham were welcomed to the U.S. last night in a star-studded bash thrown by pals Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. Held at the LA Museum of Contemporary Art, the party was attended by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Brooke Shields and husband Chris Henchy, Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy, Bruce Willis, Eva Longoria, Quincy Jones and director Ron Howard. Cruise flew in for the weekend from the set of the controversial Valkyrie in Germany. "It was so much fun!" said a fellow guest of the event, which featured British classics such as bangers and mash along with American chow like burgers and fries.
