Yet another glamorous NYC event went down last night. The New York Public Library held the annual CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) Awards, (basically the Oscars of fashion) and well, as you can see the fashionistas were out. From MJ and Posh, classic icon Ralph Lauren and designer Michael Kors, to AFO and Hilary Duff, there really never is a dull moment in the Big Apple.

I thought that this pic was kinda funny, look how much taller model Karolina Kurkova is compared to Ashley Olsen! She may be on the shorter side, but what an impact she makes! More power to us! (obvs. I'm a bit on the short side as well)

Hilary steps out with hockey hunk

Who's Hilary Duff's new guy? The With Love singer was spotted getting cozy with New York Islanders hockey player Mike Comrie at Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica last night. According to TMZ, the pair first hooked up while jet skiing in Idaho.

• Sex & the City alum Cynthia Nixon will kick off the ninth season of Law & Order: SVU, appearing as a woman with multiple personalities thought to have abused her baby.
• Lawyers for Lindsay Lohan are demanding that the British newspaper News of the World produce the videotape they claim shows the actress snorting coke.
• Rosie O'Donnell has her eye on Bob Barker's gig at The Price is Right, but the outgoing host "is adamant that Rosie not get the gig," according to a source.

Commotion at Hilary's Toronto appearance

Police were on the scene of Hilary Duff's appearance at MuchMusic yesterday in Toronto after a man in the crowd allegedly threatened to kill the popstar. During Duff's interview, an unidentified man started shouting in the crowd outside the studio and, according to a witness, threatened Duff's life. "The cops slammed his face into the pavement," said a photographer. "He was bleeding." A rep for the TV station said today that police told him the incident "was totally unrelated" to Duff and her appearance on Much and that although the man was shouting, he did not actually threaten the Dignity singer and no arrest was made.

Hilary disses Nicole in song

Hilary Duff pours her heart into her music - literally. The nineteen-year-old popstar used her breakup with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden and his subsequent hookup Nicole Richie as fodder for the lyrics on her new album, taking obvious digs at The Simple Life star. "Where's your dignity?" reads a line in one song. "I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills... Can't buy respect but you can pick up that bill... Always with Mr. Right, but then you have a fight/Run into your friend's ex, he's happy to be your next/Tomorrow's paper's coming out so kiss him fast, watch the cameras flash." In the song Gypsy Woman, Duff sings, "She lets you think that you found her first/That's how she works her sick and twisted gypsy curse/Talks with a grin 'cause she's got no shame/Enjoy the fame, bringing down the family name." Duff's rep confirmed that some of songs on her client's new album were written about Madden/Richie situation, saying, "Some are, yes. But she has gone through a lot, including a very frightening pair of Russian stalkers."
